Prayer Cha Dorm/Expanded Palanca Room/New Rector Dorm
The completion of the chapel will allow us to renovate the existing space that contains the present chapel/palanca room & rector dorm. We are awaiting a visit by the architect to the camp to let us know the best way to reconfigure this space. The community members have long known the need for a prayer cha dorm. Prayer chas offer such an important service to all of us during weekends. Their schedule requires that they spend many hours up serving as intercessors for us while we sleep. They are usually unable to sleep during the day without interruption due to other team members and weekend activities in and around the dorms. We believe they deserve a quiet place of their own so they would have the opportunity to sleep during the day without interruption and have their own bath/shower facility. The renovation of the space will also allow for an expanded Palanca room as well as a bit more space for the rector dorm. We think this renovation will be a welcome addition to the Camp of Colors. Completed April 2007.

                              Utility upgrades/Backup generator
Our contractor is working with the power company to get the power lines put underground. This project will allow the removal of the utility pole in the back lot. We will be adding a backup generator to keep the lights and water flowing when the power is out. We haven’t experienced many times without power, but this will become a welcome addition when we do loose power. Once this work is complete and the trailers are removed, the plan is to grade the back lot to become a more efficient team parking lot. The required placement of the Pavilion will make this project more a priority.
Approximate cost: $30,000.00
